The Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer standard will be replacing the Level 3 Digital Marketer and Level 3 Marketing Assistant standard for new starts from January 2024.


 

Level 3

Marketing Assistant

Apprenticeship standard being retired December 2023

Overview

This apprenticeship programme has been designed for individuals who are involved in supporting customer-focused marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service through awareness-raising and/or perception building to generate results to the bottom line.

Role Profile

The role focus of a marketing assistant will often include being responsible for coordinating and delivering specific marketing activities which could include but are not limited to, marketing content creation, background market and customer research, monitoring campaign analytic and collecting data, using relevant marketing software/systems, maintaining marketing administration activities, tracking marketing expenditure, supporting the procurement of, and overseeing the delivery of work by external and internal marketing suppliers.

Requirements

  • No previous experience required.
  • Learners should be comfortable using a computer to gather workplace evidence.

End Point Assessment 

It is essential to gain the minimum marks in both assessment modes. Successful apprentices will gain a pass, merit or distinction.

     Knowledge Test: 90 minute multiple-choice test
     Work-based Project: Supporting professional discussion

Digital Marketer

Apprenticeship standard being retired December 2023

Overview

This apprenticeship programme has been designed for individuals who are working as part of a team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign. The marketer will work to marketing briefs and instructions. They will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.

Role Profile

The primary role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention. This apprenticeship has a mandatory external qualification.

  • Learners should be comfortable using a computer to gather workplace evidence.

End Point Assessment 

It is essential to gain the minimum marks in all four assessment modes. Successful apprentices will gain a pass, merit or distinction.

     Portfolio of Evidence: Online e-portfolio
      Project: Synoptic project
      Reference: Employer Reference
     Interview: 2 hour structured meeting

Multi-Channel Marketer

Apprenticeship standard being delivered from January 2024

Overview

The broad purpose of the occupation is to support customer-focused marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service through awareness raising and/or perception building to generate results for the bottom line. As part of the marketing team, multi-channel marketers will contribute to the implementation of the marketing strategy and plans. They will be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the marketing function and activities of the company.


Role Profile

In their daily work, multi-channel marketers will interact with a wide range of internal stakeholders and also external stakeholders such as clients/customers and suppliers. Multi-channel marketers will define, design, build and implement campaigns across a variety of platforms to drive customer engagement and retention.  
An employee in this occupation will be responsible for coordinating and delivering specific marketing activities such as marketing content creation, background market and customer research, monitoring campaign analytic and collecting data, using relevant marketing software/systems, maintaining marketing administration activities such as managing the supply of marketing literature, tracking marketing expenditure, supporting the procurement of, and overseeing the delivery of work by external and internal marketing suppliers.
