This apprenticeship programme has been designed for individuals who support organisational functions and carry out routine administration tasks within businesses and organisations of all sizes, using digital systems to manage information, assist colleagues, and help ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently.
Role Profile
The role of administration assistant involves carrying out routine administration tasks that support operations. The work is carried out under supervision following set procedures for tasks. An assistant administrator is an integral part of the team and organisation responsible for supporting the efficient organisational functions and operations. The assistant administrator is responsible for assisting colleagues with routine duties. These can vary depending on the team structure and size of business. They use digital systems and tools to collate, extract and enter data.
An assistant administrator's work can include tasks such as routine data entry and providing support to team members to help ensure that daily activities are carried out within agreed timescales and quality expectations. They may also work, under supervision, more widely in the organisation to meet organisational priorities.
Requirements
- In line with government guidelines, apprentices must be under 25 years old to enrol on this apprenticeship.
- Learners should be comfortable using a computer to gather workplace evidence.
End Point Assessment
The assessment plan is currently being developed and it will be published ahead of the start date, 1st August 2026.

Business Administrator
Overview
This apprenticeship programme has been designed for individuals who have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes micro and international businesses alike and across the private, public and not for profit sectors.
Role Profile
The role of a business administrator may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.
Business administrators are expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity, whilst demonstrating a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.

- No previous experience required.
- Learners should be comfortable using a computer to gather workplace evidence.
End Point Assessment
It is essential to gain the minimum marks in all three assessment modes. Successful apprentices will gain a pass or distinction.
